Appearance & Size

Gargantus in his base form appears to be a broad and powerful giant of a man equipped with a flexible nanotube suit and armour that covers his hands, arms, shoulders, chest, and head. Wearing a pair of heavy-duty boots with custom treads for maximum traction and destructive potential. His suit is designed primarily to grow with him to incredible sizes as well as minimize clothing damage dealt by attacks, its protective potential is second to this.

Gargantus stands at a towering 72ft tall in his base form, a size he can live comfortably without ever having to shrink down further. He rarely ever shrinks down to human size, given his status and circumstances. The average human is 6 inches tall compared to him, barely reaching up to his ankles. The length of his fingers and thumbs measure one and a half times longer than a man is tall and as thicker than their entire body width; his palms can easily grasp an entire human fully within the diameter of his inner palm. If Gargantus were 6'6", he would have a shoe size 35 US, in his 72ft tall giant form his boots are a size 561 US. All these size comparisons and attributes naturally become more intense as he increases in size.

Powers & Skills

Superhuman Physicality (Strength, Stamina, Endurance, Reflexes)
Gargantus is at the pinnacle of physical strength, stamina and endurance thanks to his regeneration. He is fully capable of outperforming any athlete in any Olympic sport on earth, including any professional competitive fighting arenas. He is on a superhuman level.
Healing-Factor/Regeneration + Size-Shifting: Growth
Gargantus's overall size and ability to grow is connected with his healing factor. As well as being able to heal wounds in seconds and resist pathogens, his healing factor blocks out pain and replaces it with pleasurable sensations, meaning pain is just as enjoyable as any other good sensation to him. As he regenerates through damage or passively by induced regeneration, Gargantus can increase his size, mass and stature to grow stronger and more durable. Gargantus can regrow limbs in the even something is powerful enough to do so through his genetic memory. He can also recover from toxic and radioactive effects on his cells so long as he is able to escape from the source, otherwise his regeneration ability will stalemate to keep him from succumbing to its deadly effects.
Close-Quarters Combat Training
Gargantus is an expert in grapples, holds and other close-range combat techniques, making him a formidable foe against other giant humanoid foes. These skills have limited effects on targets much smaller than he is, however it is easier to simply crush them underfoot than it is to do anything unnecessary.

The Gargant Syndicate

Also known as The Gargants, is a group founded by Gargantus after discovering producing the drug G-Mex, a mutagen capable of granting others a lesser form of his own growth powers. As the drug could produce physical growth and expansion it was highly sought out by muscle heads and athletes who wished to take advantage of its untraceable metabolizing properties, it could not be detected by drug tests and appeared to be natural growth. Gargantus targeted men with nothing left to lose, could be trusted to do as he ordered them to and have a healthy disrespect for those smaller than themselves to be recruited into his ranks, given G-Mex to turn them into giants and direct them to use their giant size for profit.

Recruitment Process

  • Whether the man is chosen personally by one of the Gargants higher ranking officers or Gargantus himself, or if they sought out the organization directly; the recruited must undergo a series of pledges and trials before they can be let into the group, their performance will determine their rank.
♦ Recruits must acknowledge and accept that when they become a Gargant, they can never go back to their old life. Once they grow, they will never return to their old size ever again. Furthermore, they must accept that to become a Gargant is to become more than human, to be better than them, that Gargants are above ordinary humans and that a Gargant's quality of life will always supersede that of a non-giant. The most successful candidates are most eager to throw away their former lives and embrace their new Gargant lifestyle to the fullest, while maintaining a healthy disrespect for non-gargants.
♦ Once they have accepted the pledge, the recruit will be exposed to a high dosage of G-Mex by inhalation. The change to their body can be quite dramatic and intense, so intense that there is a 30% morality rate of those who undergo the transformation. Those that survive will have grown to a height of 24ft tall on average, four times taller than a normal human and with an expanded frame of a giant. Some rest is required before the new recruit can start their next trial.
♦ The last test revolves around the dedication and initative of the recruit to follow Gargantus' lead and the group in general. The ability to follow difficult orders can take the form of being asked to crush a prisoner underfoot (or in any fashion they desire, which will be noted) to running a live job to score the syndicate more resources. At this stage, if Gargantus deems them worthy, they will be exposed to another round of G-Mex to further increase their size, up to a height similar to Gargantus himself. If the recruit showed hesitation or generally proves themselves to be unreliable, they will remain their smaller size and live under the larger giants of the Gargant community until they can prove their worthiness for larger sizes.

Syndicate Heirarchy

  • The Syndicate is separated by ranks, and ranks are more easily determined by the maximum size of those in them. The bigger giants have more prestige than smaller giants, but ideally, camaraderie with all ranks is necessary to keep the group morale high.
Gargantus
Gargantus is the leader of the Gargants and no-one can depose him. He is the source of the growth each full-time member possesses and has the power to take it away. His Elites answer to him directly.
His Elites
Gargantus has a handful of elite henchmen who have the highest concentration of G-Mex running through their systems. Not only have they grown to a height over 70ft, but they also possess a degree of healing factor and can grow further in size. They are to avoid growing larger than Gargantus in a way that makes him look inferior, which usually means not growing bigger than him in his presence. Their healing factor is not as powerful as Gargantus's, and thus are mildly easier to defeat than Gargantus himself. In fights against others supers, the elites will cover for Gargantus in battle if they are not told to do something else. Gargantus' Elites make up about 5% of the total group, there are enough of them to seem like fighting a dozen Gargantuses. The Elites got to this point for best embodying Gargantus's ideals, proven skill and ability in daily activities and being good to mess around with when Gargantus wishes to train and playfight.
Lieutenants
The Lieutenants are smaller-scale giants around 48ft tall that are in charge of running lesser jobs and businesses, including protection and repossession. They still possess a good deal of power from their size and regeneration, and can be enough to take on a single hero in a 1-on-1 battle. They lack the ability to increase in size as the Elites do and with no way to size down they often live in the Syndicate's complex interacting with other giants taller and smaller than they are when not performing their duties. They don't have the same kind of power as Gargantus or his elites, and instead are comparable to very strong and dangerous giants. Lieutenants got to this rank by proving themselves during their initial recruitment, but not nearly exemplary enough to become one of the elites. They report to the Elites based on their posting or given task and give orders to the Minions.
Minions
The Minions are the smallest of the Gargants and serve as Henchmen who didn't have other places to go but loved the idea of becoming a giant. Minions are not failures, but they lacked the natural affinity for Gargantus to give them a second dose of G-Mex, as a result, their purposes are to do what they are told by the bigger giants and in return get to stay room and board at the Gargant complex where things are larger in scale than the outside world. At a height of 24ft or so, they are also used to get inside buildings without destroying them and use their superior numbers to overwhelm targets and supers. Gargantus's Minions are notable for all being giant sized compared to other group leaders, meaning even the lowest rank of his organisation can be extremely dangerous and hard to contain.

Gargant Complex

The Gargant Complex, also known as the G-Plex, is home to Gargantus and the other Gargant members. It consists of many huge-sized installations of warehouses, designed to be at least one hundred feet tall to allow the taller inhabitance to roam inside without issue. Gargantus' lair is the largest one flush to a secure the corner of the complex, while his elites all get a row of smaller installations to themselves. Lieutenants and Minions reside in shared barracks. There is a recreation hall and cafeteria made to maintain morale and feed the henchmen including a mixed-size training ground for henchmen to practise their skills on human-sized replicas or against each other.

The Complex is situated on the outskirts of Visco-City tucked inside cliffs bordering the ocean, the high mountain walls make it difficult to approach except from above. Tunnels leading out into the ocean and towards the underground entrances and exits to the city allow the Syndicate many means of obtaining goods and deliveries while being able to slip away form persuers. Not all tunnels allow the larger giants to pass through without hunching over but they are still able to use them to enter and exit the complex on their own.

Gargantus' Lair

  • Gargantus' residence is located in the corner of the complex, flush against the cliffs where the sun is able to shine in on the morning. The warehouse fabrication has been enhanced further with insulation and reinforcements to make it more of a secure apartment for himself, something only afforded in a limited fashion to his Elites. The floors are fully carpeted and select portions of the ceiling are fitted with polarized glass to prevent others seeing in, but allowing himt to see out. Given Gargantus' size and the limits of his living space, the huge warehouse is proportionally comparable to a mid-sized apartment than a vast storage unit. Gargantus has all the comforts of home in his lair.
Bed
Gargantus has a bed measuring 90ft long by 135ft wide, built on top of a solid foundation to properly withstand his weight and custom made to account for his Broadstrider proportions, it is a mix between a single bed and a double. Pillows, mattress and bedding are made of memory-foam and rubber to minimize damage from his weight. Opposite the bed is a wall-sized screen made in a similar process to his Personal Computer Bank that displays Live, On-Demand and streaming TV and videos at unreal resolution and clarity. Huge wall-mounted speakers are able to project the sound across the entire unit, music to his ears and nearly deafening for smaller ones nearby. The bed takes up the floorspace just beyond the entrance door, past the PCB.
Personal Computer Bank
To connect online as well as perform his business remotely, oversized fabrications of a chair, desk, keyboard, mouse, monitor and PC tower were constructed to provide the best experience available at his size. The keyboard and mouse are custom made to fit his enlarged hands and fingers whereas the PC tower itself is constructed of hundreds of servers linked together to construct one super mainframe with trans-optic internet speeds. The monitor delivering thousands of high refresh-rate, high resolution images all at once to display images that are far more detailed than any one screen could hope to manage. If desired, Gargantus can use this computer to play online games and even enter social media and chatrooms as if he were a normal sized being. The PCB is facing a wall between the bed and the entrance wall, there is space behind for him to show up on a webcam fully as well as a greenscreen.
Bathroom
As a matter of hygiene and relief, Gargantus has access to his own personal bathroom; complete with a sink, mirror, toilet and shower block. Water is treated and funnelled through high-pressure pipes to produce the force needed for it to drain out of the massive pipes and shower unit, it is even clean enough to drink! The shower unit is electrically powered, capable of producing thermostat-controlled temperatures to keep himself clean and wash out the sweat of battle. The bathroom is located at the far end of the entrance at the back of the unit, it is in its own room.
Kitchen space
Gargantus has access to a small open-plan kitchen space filled with giant-sized recreations of modern appliances and storage spaces. A large fridgerator regularly stocked with his favourites, a means to cook his food in a microwave, oven, grill or toaster. A few chairs and a table sized for 72ft tall giants is available to sit and eat or talk with like-sized friends. Gargantus gets priority on food requests so he always gets the best selection of items and regularly restocks when deliveries arrive. The Kitchen space is located past the Bed area, beside the door to the Bathroom block.
