This article refers to the approved races in the Viridian setting, if it's here, you can play as it. Though do note that the details set forth may also be relevant if you choose to play as a particular race, especially if it differs from the generic commonalities in other fantasy settings.

Races by Base Size Category

This list contains the names of approved races and the base size category they exist at. A race's base size does not limit an individual character's ability to exist at a different size category so long as it is plausibly explained.

  • Italics denotes a race that can plausibly reduce their size category. From Native to Smallfolk, Bigfolk to Native.
  • Bold denotes a race that can plausibly increase their size category. From Smallfolk up to Bigfolk and Native up to Giantfolk. Bigfolk up to Giantfolk.
  • Bold Italics denotes a race that can plausibly increase and decrease their size category as above.
  • No-Format denotes a race that typically cannot increase nor decrease in size category (or another larger/smaller race fills the niché better)

Native (Medium-sized)

Typically Natives are between 5'6" and 6'5" tall, sometimes as tall as 8'10" and as short as 4'0".
