Overview
Physical Description
Humans possess a wide variety of skin colours, body types, and facial features. Generally speaking, humans’ skin colour assumes a darker hue the closer to the equator they live. At the same time, bone structure, hair colour and texture, eye colour, and a host of facial and bodily phenotypic characteristics vary immensely from one locale to another. Appearance is hardly random, of course, and familial, tribal, or national commonalities often allow the knowledgeable to identify a human’s place of origin on sight, or at least to hazard a good guess.
Culture & Social
Humans possess exceptional drive and a great capacity to endure and expand, and as such are currently the dominant race in the world. Their empires and nations are vast, sprawling things, and the citizens of these societies carve names for themselves with the strength of their sword arms and the power of their spells. Humanity is best characterized by its tumultuousness and diversity, and human cultures run the gamut from savage but honourable tribes to decadent, devil-worshipping noble families in the most cosmopolitan cities. Humans’ curiosity and ambition often triumph over their predilection for a sedentary lifestyle, and many leave their homes to explore the innumerable forgotten corners of the world or lead mighty armies to conquer their neighbours, simply because they can.

Humans are the most common and most relatable of all the races. Often the centre of every intrigue and drama, they may appear to be less fantastic than the other races, but they make up for it by being able to become good all-rounders and fantastic specialists. Humans get the most customization, from bonus character-build options an even traits that benefit an adaptive play style.
Humans are the best option to get into the game with the most customization options and least amount of quirks and gimmicks.
Gameplay
The Human's Adaptive trait is a meta trait that takes advantage of the way level-ups work. Instead of having to assign points immediately upon level-up, between games, Human characters can keep points in escrow until such a situation where they can assign points to a specific skill, attribute or perk. They can pull stuff out of their asses basically. They still have to assign points before committing to rolls or checks but other than that, point-assignment is free.
The Fairweathered trait is an extra way to build up resistance to one of two elementals, Fire or Ice, naturalizing it as an adaptation to hot or cold places. The resistance applied (20%) is pretty minor but the reduction in extreme-temperature environments can be extremely helpful when it crops up in a scenario. Not having to equip or mod outfits to reduce or negate high and low temperature environments can help these characters keep their more useful mods intact. That still doesn't help them in Tier 2 and 3 environments where mods would be required to stave off temperature effects (and definitely) won't help when submerged in ice-cold water or molten lava but the important thing is that something as simple as a Sunny or Cold/Wet day won't ruin your character's day.
Roleplay Suggestions
Honestly, Humans are better left unsaid. As fellow humans ourselves, we know what we're like better than anybody else. There are good ones, bad ones, and ones with a bit of nuanced grey between. But as Humans are one, if not the, rulers of the Cerulean Kingdoms, it could be said that Humans feel a small sense of entitlement, being the most prolific and influential. If it doesn't give a character a sense of superiority then it could give a sense of security that for the most part remains true for those who seek a simple life within the Kingdom. Things are less sunshine and rainbows outside the city and Kingdom where monsters and criminals roam, especially giants who could easily take them out as a nasty human could do to one of the Vermillions.
Human adventurers would feel a call to destiny, or seek goals both material and moral. A distinct sense of 'purpose and meaning' to do something more dangerous and potentially rewarding than simply taking a job in the town or cities and live each day as relaxed as the last. As diverse as human beings tend to be in personality, motive and appearance, there's an even stronger sense of diversity to be found in the other races, to which some revel in the differences in mind and body as they go to discover new places, people and opportunities. Some humans tend to get very attached to races and creatures that aren't like themselves, sometimes the curiosity of understanding and experiencing another can be irresistible at times.

(The 1 free attribute point given at creation is part of the 3 points for this trait). ♦ Humans gain a total of 2 Skill-Focus points at creation, to use on any skill groups not yet boosted by Skill-focus. (The 1 free Skill-Focus given at creation is part of thr 2 Skill-Focuses for this trait). ♦ Humans are considered Medium-size: they have a size rating of 1.

Traits
Passive: Resourceful
Humans are capable of adapting to situations that would otherwise have them trapped.
♦ Humans may keep attribute points, skill points and perk points unassigned from their previous level up and assign them at any time during a game, but must do, so before they perform actions or checks. Success or fail, those points remain assigned when the appropriate action or skill related to the assignment is invoked in play. (Using a skill locks skill points added to it when the skill is used. Using an action which is influenced by an attribute point or perk will lock their assignment. ♦ (Normally: Characters may not be permitted to assign character build points in the middle of games and are encouraged to use all unassigned points after levelling up between games.) ♦ Humans using Resourceful can retain no more than one level's worth of each resource. The human must use their previous level's level up rewards before incrementing to the next level.
Passive: Fairweathered
As Humans have been able to survive in the coldest and hottest regions of the planet, some are less sensitive to extreme temperatures than others
The Human character must choose one (1) of the following sub-traits to use for the basis of the Fairweather trait:
♦ Heat-Resistant > This Human resists Fire attack damage by 20%. Effects that directly inflict Burn are reduced by half. > This Human lowers the effects of high temperature effects by one stage: Tier 1 Hot temperature areas (Sunny Day) is negated and only suffers minor negative effects in Tier 2 (Hot Desert), they still suffer badly in Tier 3 (Active Volcano).
♦ Cold-Resistant > Thus Human resists Cold attack damage by 20%. Effects that directly inflict Chill are negated and effects that inflict Freeze are downgraded to Chill. > This Human lowers the effects of low temperature efefcts by one stage: Tier 1 cold temperature areas (Cold Weather) is negated and only suffers minor negative effects in Tier 2 (Icy Mountain), they still suffer badly in Tier 3 (Raging Blizzard).
