==XP• (The Meta-currency of Viridian)==
'''XP•''' is the name and symbol used for the meta-currency used on the Discord server, governed by a bot, set up by the admin @Oneirohero. You can gain a chunk of XP• once every 20 hours by using the '''.work''' command in any room except green-room and also a small amount of XP• each time you post a message, with a two minute cooldown each. XP• serves two purposes, as currency to be used with the .store command to purchase special items used for roleplay and special tokens/permissions. And to be banked using the '''.deposit''' command to contribute to your maximum level cap.

===XP• and .store===
By default, all XP• gained is usable in the '''.store''' prompt. Anything that is worth less than infinity XP• can be purchased and added to your '''.inventory'''. Anything purchased from the store cannot be refunded unless an Admin manually compensates you, and only at their discretion. The store is the best place to obtain the roleplaying currency, Silver and Gold Coins/Strongboxes, used as a means to trade and barter in the roleplaying setting. Whereas XP• is intangible, Coins and Strongboxes are an actual currency.

'''Despite the purchase prompt saying so, DO NOT .USE items unless otherwise specified. Using an item effectively destroys it from your inventory and no system is in place to make the items do anything aside from granting roles (which would again, be specified). This is particularly important for such items as tokens which are meant to remain in your inventory as proof you used XP• to purchase the permissions/benefit contained within.'''

===XP• and .bank===
Using '''[[Level Chart]]''' as a reference, you can '''.deposit''' any amount of XP• you currently own into the bank, serving as your contribution to your characters' maximum level cap. If the XP• in your bank is equal to or greater than the Level XP• required shown in the article, your level cap is that level. Note: You cannot withdraw XP• from your bank and XP• from your bank cannot be used to purchase things from the store, do not bank all of your XP• unless you are certain you do not wish to purchase anything from the store.

'''For the moment, Levels do not matter in Viridian. However if in the future enough content is created to give Levels a tangible benefit, your maximum level cap will determine the highest level your character(s) can reach or start off as.'''

Silver & Gold Coins (And Strongboxes)

In the world of Viridian, the primary currency used by settlements across the civilized world use Silver and Gold coins, worth 1 and 10 units respectively. Most mundane transactions would use silver, while pricer purchases might require more gold coins. As Viridian has a sizable population of bigfolk and giantfolk, the solution to managing coins of relatively small size was to put them inside strongboxes which are easier to pick out by giant fingers. Strongboxes are typically 12 times more valuable and contain the same amount of value in coins, the boxes themselves have tamper-seals to prevent the value of a box being less than what it's intended worth. Generally speaking, giants find carrying strongboxes easier and more appropriate to the cost of the goods they usually purchase, whereas Natives find coins much more suitable for their carrying capacity.
