The Resolve skill is focused on maintaining the stability of one's own physical and mental state. Different to attacks that deal damage, the Resolve skill resists and helps in the recovery of normally negative physiological and psychological status effects. For a Skill that is focused upon resisting damage and avoiding attacks entirely, refer to the Aegis skill.

This skill is normally called upon when the Adventurer suffers physiological or psychological checks, the Skill-Rating directly affects how often and how quickly one recovers from such effects.


Perk Name Requirements Effect
Upon reaching Rank 1: the following Perk is automatically applied, for free:
Stability -

When the Adventurer is under the effects of a Physiological, or Psychological status effect.

♦ The Adventurer gains a +1 bonus per 2 Skill-Rating points for checks to recover from existing status effects.
Each Skill-Rank beyond 1st grants a new Skill-Perk that can be enhanced by the Resolve skill.
Healthy -

The Adventurer is more able to resist the effects of bodily harm:

♦ The Adventurer gains a +10 bonus per Resolve Skill-Rank on checks to resist and recover from Physiological status effects.
♦ This Perk stacks with the effects of Stability.
Mental Wellness -

The Adventurer is more able to resist the effects of mental harm:

♦ The Adventurer gains a +10 bonus per Resolve Skill-Rank on checks to resist and recover from Psychological status effects.
♦ This Perk stacks with the effects of Stability.
